Even after the curtains close on EDC Las Vegas, Insomniac continues to spread the spirit of PLUR in Sin City by donating thousands of dollars worth of plants and trees to local residents for the fourth consecutive year. Following the conclusion of the iconic festival at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway on May 19, the flora previously adorning the festival grounds found new homes across Clark County, Nevada last week, as reported by a Facebook post from the county. Collaborating once again with Clark County Commissioner Marilyn Kirkpatrick, Insomniac's efforts align with the ongoing battle against urban heat island impacts in Las Vegas, with Kirkpatrick stressing the significance of tree planting to combat the city's soaring temperatures. These efforts extend beyond greenery, with Insomniac also allocating a portion of ticket sales from each EDC Las Vegas edition to various local nonprofits and charitable funds, totaling more than $2 million since 2011. Last month's 2024 EDC Las Vegas Charity Auction further underscored Insomniac's commitment to philanthropy, benefiting Clark County non-profits Camp Alamo and Share Village Las Vegas. While fundraising figures for the 2024 auction are pending, last year's event raised over $107,000 in donations.
